    I love my new Avila’s! Where have you been all these years? I’ve been soooo loyal to the Rios that I overlooked these jeans! It’s a great (grown-up) slim cut. Like the Rios up top but more slim down below the knee. I appreciate the zipper too! But I have a button fly version too. The 15oz is killer but I equally like the kaihara denim. 5 stars. I’m 6’ 178 lbs and 32 x 34 is a perfect fit.

    These are my new favorite jeans. They are slim throughout without being too tight. They are super comfortable and I can’t wait to break them in and see them look even better with age.

    The fit of these jeans are exactly what I wanted, which is slim but not skinny, and the weight of the denim is year round. And the taper width works with a lot of different style shoes that I have (basically all styles except workwear boots that are on the bulky side).

    Our 15 ounce selvedge denim is woven exclusively for Freenote Cloth by Yoshiwa Mills in Japan. We set out to create a classic selvedge, reminiscent of deadstock vintage denim. The color is a shade lighter than the inky blue indigo of our Kaihara Mills 14.5 ounce selvedge. The yarns have a moderate slub, and the fill yarns show through slightly on the face of the denim. The surface is unsinged to create a vintage feel, and the classic look is completed with a red selvedge ticker. If you are looking for heritage inspired denim in a great weight that will produce smoother contrast fades over time, look no further.
