Function and style

I love this jacket. Purchased it earlier this year and it's just a great lightweight coat, the kind that will never go out of style and only look better with age. Both functional and stylish, this jacket is made to last a long time. I look forward to wearing this one in.

Great lightweight jacket

Let me start off by saying that I wish Freenote Cloth would come out with more jackets similar to this style and weight. Being from Texas, lighter weight jackets are much more appealing for daily wear than some of the heavier styles. I'm normally a large in freenote cloth jackets and shirts but I opted for a medium in this one. Fit for me is perfect for what I lrefer. There's a nice cropped body with perfect length sleeves. The sleeves and body are somewhat roomy so the odds are it was intended for layering. It has a really cool and comfortable chambray lining that I haven't seen on other free note jackets. Looking forward to another color or two in this if they decide to expand the garage jacket line up.

I bought this jacket with fall riding in mind. It most certainly checked all the boxes for me. Very well constructed and looks amazing. I like that it gives you enough room to layer without going up a size. Does not look bulky or like it is going to fall off my body. Lastly, the rugged look definitely makes the jacket.

Classic Defined

Materials, construction, and function all come together to form a great jacket. But what also sets this above the rest is that for all this, it captures that classic look the piece is meant to convey by way of that definition America had-has during that era.

Even so, the jacket feels relevant for today given it fits very well and looks great. My next test for it is to layer it with sweaters and hoodies I own for colder seasons. As such, I went with an XL for me at 6'2" @ ~180 lbs.

Compared to other jackets by Freenote, it is lighter, but heavy enough to make it versatile in many, if not all, weather seasons.

Solid jacket; awesome material

Great for motorcycles; holds up well in wind, rain, and bugs! A little looser fit which is good for something warmer underneath. Excellent quality and materials.

The Clemens is the newest jacket in our line. Using our Mariner jacket as a starting point, we set out to create our own version of a 50-60’s garage or mechanic jacket. Because of the utilitarian design, we chose to use a more relaxed silhouette. This fit further compliments the garage style look. The Clemens features raglan sleeves, two patch on chest pockets, and two additional welt pockets. This is a great jacket for anyone looking for classic style, and a fit that offers added mobility.

The fabric is a 10.10 ounce canvas woven in the USA, which is finished with a water repellent treatment impregnated directly into the yarns of the fabric. The zipper was made by Universal in Japan. While most zipper tape now comes in polyester or synthetic fibers, this zipper uses cotton tape, giving it a full vintage reproduction look and feel. The Clemens jacket is lined with Japanese cotton chambray in the body and accented with our signature satin lined sleeves.
