Introducing the Dayton Short Sleeve Shirt. The Dayton is Freenote’s interpretation of a classic industrial or garage style shirt. Drawing inspiration from vintage examples dating back to the 1950’s, it features a camp collar, double pockets, and metal reproduction buttons from Japan. For the fabric, we wanted something that would be sturdy and durable, but still light and airy enough for warmer weather. We handpicked an 8-ounce selvedge chambray from Japan’s Kuroki Mills. It has a crunchy hand feel at first with a hard drape that becomes softer and more supple with wear and washing – striking the perfect balance between style and comfort.
The Dayton Short Sleeve exudes classic cool. Tucked into dark indigo denim with some engineer boots, unbuttoned over a t-shirt and some Workers Chinos, or simply paired with the Deck Short. However you wear it, the versatile Dayton is sure to be a wardrobe staple for years to come. As always, this Freenote garment is proudly cut and sewn in California.
