Riders Jacket Waxed Canvas Tumbleweed Red Interior

I searched for few months watching YouTube and reading reviews. Finally decided to purchase the RJ1 I knew my suit measurements, but had my wife take them again. I was looking for a waxed canvas jacket to work on our farm and garage. That would also work for date night and age well.

It fit perfectly. I am 5’10” 172 pounds and ordered a size medium. It is fitted so if you want to have a hoodie or layer under it. I would size up.

I did consider exchanging for a Large to layer with a hoodie. But after seeing how it fit decided to keep the medium.

I have worn it in weather from 35 to 60 degrees and have been comfortable. The gussets work fantastic while driving t-posts for our farm. The liner and sleeves are super comfortable. It’s slowly breaking in.

I have had several compliments on the jacket and feel it’s been a great investment for work and fun.

My only input is a loop for hanging it, an additional interior pocket, button flaps on the exterior chest pockets. Other than that, this jacket is perfect.

I've only had this jacket for about 2hrs, but felt compelled to write a review right away. However, I did try on the jacket at a local store near me in a size small. I went to the store twice to try on this jacket and examine it before I committed to spending so much on it. The feel is nice, not what I expected from a waxed canvas jacket, it doesn't feel too waxy, but yet soft, sturdy, and is just perfect. I'm 5'6 148lbs and the small they had in the store did fit me, but it was more suited for me to take modeling pics of instead of feeling comfy and everyday wear. The store didn't have a medium to try on so I ordered a medium from the website. Once I received the medium and tried it on, it felt great. The measurement list the chest as a 42 and I have a 40in chest and the jacket fits perfect around my chest with enough room to layer a t-shirt and flannel combo. However, the sleeves are a bit long for me since I'm only 5'6, but everything else from the shoulder, body length and chest fit just perfect. Freenote customer service was also very help in explaining the color differences between the Tobacco and Tumbleweed, the Tobacco has a slight olive hue to it, while the Tumbleweed is more a khaki color which is what I was looking for.

I bought this same coat 4ish years ago and I wear it daily on my farm and it’s taken a beating like a champ, still keeps me dry and cuts the wind great, I got a little tear in it couple weeks back and it ruined my whole day, lol, I’m stoked to see more colors, I am on list to get emails when my size is in stock as I am definitely buying another one, possibly two

Since out of stock and with duties scary me, I found one last xl at a Dutch store. Great jacket. After looking at so many waxed jackets, happy with my pick. Gonna be my go to jacket from fall to spring here in de windy wet Netherlands, for the next decade.

Only thing missing is a little loop to hang it on a coat rack.

Just an astounding level of quality. Premium pricing demands premium quality, and this jacket over-delivers. Stitch work is great. Hardware is great. Fit is great. Materials are great.
