The CC-1 is the newest addition to the Freenote outerwear collection. Taking design inspiration from various vintage chore coats we collected over the years, we decided to make a chore coat of our own. We added a flap with a hidden button closure to the chest pocket, and adjusted the pocket shapes to match the back pockets of our denim. We also concealed the front buttons in the placket for a clean and streamlined look. True to the utility required of a chore coat, we opened up the dimensions of this jacket for improved mobility. Extra room was added to the cross shoulder and chest, and the sleeves were rebalanced for drop in the armhole to allow greater ease of movement.
The CC-1 is offered in two colors of Japanese Moleskin: navy and brown. This fabric stays true to the Freenote philosophy that clothing should improve with wear, as it will soften and conform to the wearer’s body over time. Moleskin is 100% cotton, however it has a smooth side and a rough side, similar to leather. The buttons are real horn, three hole buttons from Italy, custom made for Freenote, and easily one of the most expensive buttons in our collection. These features combine to create a refined, modern jacket that is just as tough and hardwearing as it is handsome.
