The everyday day, any shoe jean

It’s true. The rise is just right, good seat room, with a good slim run to the ankle. These look great rolled up with some lace up boots, slip on mocs, or cowboy boots…which makes them the perfect set of duds to just grab for and get rolling. Construction is mighty sound as is standard with these guys. I also own the Kaihara version. The only two pairs of jeans I wear…seriously good.

Introducing a new 14 ounce Japanese selvedge denim in our Rios, Avila, and Portola fits. This raw, sanforized denim is woven by Yoshiwa Mills. It features timeless details like a red ticker selvedge ID and medium slub, alongside unique characteristics of a hairy surface and charcoal tinted indigo color. The deep, saturated hues in this denim are produced by mixing indigo with black dye during the dye process. The hairy surface of the fabric has an almost un-singed appearance that will give way to a wonderful vintage patina over time.

To further enhance the charcoal color, we chose to use tonal black stitching on the Avila and Portola. For the Rios, we took a more traditional approach, opting for antique gold thread and indigo dyed thread accents. The different thread colors compliment the competing hues so well that, at first glance, you might think the Rios is a different denim altogether. Whatever fit you choose, this denim is a modern classic that will mix well with any wardrobe. Proudly cut and sewn in Los Angeles, California.
