About the Calico Vest Waxed Canvas Oak
The Calico Vest was a gift for my husband and he’s thrilled with it. I got him a small and it fits just right. Very, very well made, durable, and gorgeous. Will definitely purchase from Freenote in the future!
I bought a Rider Jacket last winter and probably wore it everyday until it got too warm. Or whenever I could. Already has become one of my few favorite pieces of clothing.
This vest may not get as much wear but the quality and look is killer. Part work vest, part just hanging out on a cool night/day. All very well made and great looking.
I would have liked the pockets just a bit deeper? But that’s it. The fit is awesome too. I’m always getting small sized items that are mostly
Not small. This one is a small that can easily be worn over a shirt or two. Looks great under denim!!
And yes, it’s expensive. But life is
Short. This thing will out live most of us anyway. If we’re lucky
Love Japanese Denim By Freenote.
I bought this vest for my husband because he LOVES vests. As he often says, “the vest is the most useful piece of clothing ever invented.”
Right out of the box this vest looks like it just rode in from Montana. I like the way he looks in it, not boxy or square. The wax canvas has a lived-in look that is perfect for many occasions.
He’s planning on wearing it in Yellowstone (the park, not the TV series) on a summer road trip.
A great layer over a sweater or shirt-jacket. The fabric is thick and durable, and the hardware too - I imagine this vest will continue to look great for years. Size seems on the large side, so good for layering over warmer layers. If you’re just warring over a short, consider sizing down. I like the understated antique look - great vest!
