Brooklyn Grooming founders Alfredo & Mckenzie met while working at a bar in Silverlake, Los Angeles close to a decade ago, then more recently launched their company over their mutual love of design and a few shared basic principles. Most importantly - that true beauty is rooted in authenticity.
Every batch of their product is dosed, measured and prepared by hand in their studio in the Brooklyn Navy yard. Nothing is mass-produced. Their exclusive (and top secret) recipes include organic vegetable butters, beeswax, herbs and essential oils—trusted ingredients revered since antiquity for their healthful and beautifying properties.
They house their products in vintage amber tinctures and old-fashioned pomade tins. Their “apothecary aesthetic” recalls classic elegance, and it suggests a simpler time when grooming was paramount in our society to all men.
We are huge fans of their product & have loved getting to know them over the course of the last year at trade shows and other industry events. Here are some fun facts about what makes this awesome duo tick.
