    About the Avila Slim Taper 14.50 ounce Kaihara Denim

    Our first custom denim from Japan’s Kaihara Mills is a 14.5 ounce indigo denim. We took our time with this project to develop a classic denim that we could showcase in all of our fits.

    The denim features ultra dark indigo yarns with medium slub and a tight tension weave. The fill yarn is less pronounced than most indigo denim creating a saturated, inky look when new. Our aim was to create a fabric with a clean appearance that would yield pronounced fades over time.

    Best Jeans I have ever owned

    My first high-quality jeans, and they have not disappointed. They molded to my body quickly, and are comfortable. I wear them casually and for field-work on construction sites. They take everything without issue. Incredible jeans, I highly recommend them.

    Highest Quality Jeans I've Owned

    Freenote makes some of the finest menswear around. The Avila is the perfect slim jean. Stiff at first like all selvedge, but I can tell these will mold to fit me perfectly after a few wears. I have also purchased the Wilkes to wear with my boots Can't recommend this company enough.

    First Freenote jean and it's perfect

    I was worried fit was going to be a problem but it fits perfect.
    I am a slim guy and want my jeans not to be tight or lose and these are spot on.
    Will certainly buy more Freenote jeans.

    Favorite Freenote jeans yet

    Great slim fit for someone with larger thighs. Great alternative to the Portola if you like a slim but not skinny jean. The Kaihara denim is fantastic, with excellent fading over just a few weeks of wear.

    Great fit

    Usually a 32 waist. Went with a 31 and the fit is perfect. High quality denim. Will be buying more from FNC.
