    About the Avila Slim Taper 14.50 ounce Kaihara Denim

    Our first custom denim from Japan’s Kaihara Mills is a 14.5 ounce indigo denim. We took our time with this project to develop a classic denim that we could showcase in all of our fits.

    The denim features ultra dark indigo yarns with medium slub and a tight tension weave. The fill yarn is less pronounced than most indigo denim creating a saturated, inky look when new. Our aim was to create a fabric with a clean appearance that would yield pronounced fades over time.
