About the Alcorn Black Kemp Wool

The Alcorn is our interpretation of a 1940s style sport jacket. This jacket sits somewhere between rock and roll, rockabilly, and mid-century ivy league style. Equipped with vintage details like a brass Universal zipper, custom metal snaps from YKK, and Italian horn buttons made exclusively for Freenote. The fabric is a 12.5 ounce wool from Japan. While many wool fabrics discard the kemp fibers due to the inability of kemp to absorb dye, this fabric includes it to create a more rugged and rustic look. The liner is a 100% cotton moleskin, also from Japan, and the sleeves are satin lined to help get in and out of the jacket with ease. It features buckle-back adjusters to dial in the fit, and add another bit of vintage style. The Alcorn Black Kemp Wool is available now.
