About the Classic Jacket Espresso Corduroy

This jacket was one of the first pieces we designed for the birth of Freenote. It quickly became a staple and we consider it our version of the classic trucker style jacket. We modified the design of the front chest patch pockets by adding a curved shape to the flap and pocket. Switched the typical welt pockets with a pocket built into the front panels of the jacket.
Like our original model we brought back the interior pockets that are perfect for your wallet.

Great jacket/great salesperson

I purchased the jacket for a gift. Fantastic quality and style. The sales associate, Shane at the San Juan Capistrano store, was very knowledgeable, patient and passionate about the products. Shane pointed out the the unique styling and excellent craftsmanship.

Great Style and Quality

The corduroy jacket has such fine detail and quality. It molds to the body as I wear it. It is medium weight, so perfect for cool summer, fall and spring nights. The design makes it versatile to dress casually or to dress up for date night.

Authentic Americana

Ok friends. I wrote reviews for 1 of 2 reasons: I really like, or dislike an item of clothing.
Fortunately I am in love with this jacket.
I notoriously have difficulty sizing high fashion; I am tall but slim and often times clothing is hilariously not proportionally fitting on me.
I am 6’3, 190 lb, 38 vs 40 chest. I wear a size medium t shirt and typically a size medium jacket. I review sizing dimensions carefully: anything shorter than 25 inches in length gives me cause to size up. Unfortunately many times a size large is super baggy on me.
I ordered a size large in this and it fits me like a glove. Not mentioned in the description of this jacket: it is heavy weight. It makes me think that any corduroy I have ever touched before in my life was a cheap thin version of what REALLY corduroy is.
I love this brand; their Americana aesthetic and attention to detail gives me cause to continue supporting them.
Remember friends, you get what you pay for

Update!

Please see my previous Gold review. As an update, I too snagged the Espresso thinking I would get the latest version in Gold, hoping it would be better sized in a Large. Instead I went with this color. When it arrived I was taken aback at how dark the dark brown is. It is almost...black, and I just can't get over how good it looks! And like the Gold it has this seemingly metallic tone to it that makes is stand out close up without being posh. Just genuinely old school vintage feel. The pictures on the FN website are nice, but can not do it justice. If you can, please see it in person even if you don't intend to buy it, it is that good of a corduroy.
The sizing accuracy relative the the chart is better this time around, although I am reading a ~21.5" front flat chest for the said 44" overall listed. Again, I am 6'2" 170+lbs with a naked ~40" chest and this fit is nearly perfect and will be able to fit in a good layer or even squeeze two. By itself with no layering it still hugs just right. Sleeves feel a bit shorter than previous version.
