Dayton LS Goldtail Wool

Our camp collar shirt, the Dayton, has arrived in two fall ready plaids. Based on a vintage 1950s shirt from our archives, these 6 ounce wool blend plaids were designed in house and custom made for Freenote Cloth in Japan. The lighter weight makes these shirts perfect for layering, and the wool blend is warm with a soft and comfortable hand feel. We took inspiration from classic western styles for the Goldtail colorway with bright yellow, orange, and turquoise. The Kodiak Grey version is an homage to hunting plaids featuring a greyscale paired with a pop of red.

The Dayton is inspired by garage style shirts with a boxy fit and a camp collar. Double needle stitch detail, genuine mother of pearl buttons, and open style chest pockets yield a shirt that’s both classic and modern. The curved hem can be tucked in to higher rise pants, while the shorter length makes it easy to style untucked as well. This versatile shirt looks just as good with engineers and a wide leg trouser as it does with tapered fit denim and sneakers.
