About the Dayton LS Sunburst Plaid

The Dayton shirt is back in two new seasonal plaids woven exclusively for Freenote Cloth. We sourced these fabrics on a trip to Japan where we visited one of our long-time textile partners, Yoshiwa Mills. After combing through their extensive archives, we found this pair of plaids reminiscent of 1950’s style patterns. Yoshiwa Mills was able to weave a small batch exclusively for Freenote in an 8.5 Ounce yard dyed plain weave. We chose our garage inspired long sleeve Dayton to create a mid-century Bonneville salt flats inspired look. The Dayton features a camp collar, genuine mother of pearl buttons, and a roomy, slightly cropped fit. The Dayton LS is available now in Sunburst and Boneville Blue Plaid.

Beautiful shirt, just short in length

This shirt is beautiful. It has an also constructed really well. The biggest problem is that because it is so short in length (size guide says 29.75 inches- it’s actually about 27.25 inches) it can’t be y clef in for me (I’m 6’2” and 210lbs). It is too short to tuck! And it really can’t be worn with a tshirt untucked into under it. It’s really silly how short this is. I would rather this be too long and pay for it to be tailored. I think I just got a bad couple of shirts (I have it in blue as well).
