About the Hawaiian Ice Tiger

This is our take on the classic Hawaiian or Aloha shirt. These shirts were first introduced in the 1930’s and gained popularity in the 50’s. The original Hawaiian shirts were made of recycled kimono fabric. In order to perfect the fit, we researched a good friend's collection of vintage Hawaiian shirts spanning across several time periods.

Another Hit

This is my first Hawaiian from Freenote, and it’s all I could’ve hoped for and come to expect from this stellar company. Spot on fit and excellent craftsmanship. The fabric is light and breathable but still feels quality. The pattern matches pretty well across the buttons and perfectly over the pocket. With a name like “Ice Tiger,” I was pretty much sold.

Best Hawaiian Shirt I own

This shirt is absolutely stunning. I've owned a number of expensive Hawaiian shirts over the years and this is by far the nicest one I've ever had. The fit is great. The construction is spot on. The fabric is a really nice, easy to wear summer linen. And the pattern, including the pattern-matched front pocket, is killer.

And while this is probably obvious, I'll state it anyways. A lot of Freenote's clothing is relatively subtle. This shirt is not. People will notice it and they will ask you about it. If you want to blend-in, then don't get this shirt. My thinking is that if you're going to wear a Hawaiian shirt, then wear an f'n Hawaiian shirt. This is that shirt.
