About the Mendon Hexagon Dobby Wool Plaid

The Mendon Hexagon Dobby Wool Plaid is made of a custom wool fabric developed exclusively for Freenote Cloth. One of the most unique textiles we have ever developed, the fabric consists of a yarn dyed plaid with a hexagon dobby weave texture. A special loom is used to produce this fabric, utilizing a Jacquard machine to control each thread and create the hexagon shapes.

The inspiration for this Mendon came from a 1940s sportswear piece from our vintage archive. Designed and tailored to function as an overshirt that layers effortlessly through the seasons. It features drunken chest pockets with our signature pocket flap, double-welt handwarmer pockets, and satin-lined back yoke and cuffs for everyday wear. As always, this Freenote garment is proudly cut and sewn in the USA.
