Midway Indigo Sashiko

My first midway or often similarly styled chore jacket. Some can look too military or artist apron for my look. I tried a different and excellent sashiko jacket at another excellent store earlier that day. Love that one, but for some reason, I could not pull the trigger. Tried this one on and I couldn’t resist! I think that it might be the slightly oversized, somewhat architectural pockets that give this a unique look that I can mix in a variety of combinations.

I am also from SoCal, as was another reviewer… this is the right weight to wear much of the year - including over-air-conditioned offices in our hotter summers!

I have a few different jackets in the midway cut. This one has become the favorite. It’s a great weight, wears well and looks amazing. This jacket may be their Magnum Opus for the midway. Do t sleep on it.

This jacket has easily become my favorite. The weight and the air flow of the sashiko make it a 4 season jacket for SoCal good for upper 50F to low 70F -- perfect for going out a night or an early morning dog walk. Usually jackets like this (and CPO) end up with too short sleeves if they fit my shoulders. This one has about 1 inch longer sleeves which makes it a perfect fit. No need to go up a size where it ends up too boxy everywhere just to make the sleeves fit.
