About the PREORDER - FREENOTE CLOTH X WHITE'S BOOTS - GRIZZLY ENGINEER - BLACK BROWN CXL

This is a pre-order for the Freenote x White's "Grizzly" Engineer boot. The history of the Engineer boot is a bit of a mystery. While some trace its lineage to train engineers, there is little actual evidence that this particular footwear style was ever popular in that trade. For most of its' history, the Engineer boot has been adopted by and associated with motorcycle culture. American motorcycle culture has come to symbolize freedom, independence, and the notion that it only takes a chopper, the open road, and a good pair of boots to achieve a satisfied mind. The American Grizzly bear has a similar lore. A largely solitary creature, Grizzly bears have also been closely associated with the ideals of individualism and freedom. The deep brown, almost black color of this batch of Horween Chromexcel is reminiscent of the American Grizzly bear for which it was nicknamed.

American workwear has always been one of the biggest inspirations here at Freenote. Naturally, when an opportunity to work with one of the all-time great Made in the USA brands presented itself, we didn't hesitate. White's Boots has been around since 1853 (not a typo, they have been cranking out boots since the mid eighteen-hundreds). Built to the highest standards, White's is a household name with loggers and wildland firefighters in the Pacific Northwest. Their boots are designed with durability and all-day comfort as the top priorities.
