Poor Service

I recently purchased this jacket and from the moment I opened the package I loved the jacket. It is not just a jacket but an investment. I’ve worn it a few times already and is definitely warm. Unfortunately, noticed a quarter size hole in the shearling collar. It was hidden for the first couple of weeks as the fur was fresh. This was in no way due to normal wear.

I emailed customer service stating the issue but got no response at all. Coat is great but at least respond, help to fix the issue. That is the least they could do for a coat that costs good money.

Completely worth the price. This jacket by far exceeded my expectations. The quality, warmth, fit and color is perfection. This brand truly nailed this jacket and for anyone that has this sitting in their cart, but fearing the cost, just buy it, you wont regret it and from what I can tell so far, I’ll have this jacket for the rest of my life.
5’7” and 155lbs. The medium fits me well with layering to spare if I want to wear a heavyweight hoodie underneath. I probably could have gotten a small, but I enjoy layering.

This will be the last winter jacket of my life…
Just the perfect warm jacket for very low temperatures, that is built forever, with an extraordinary fit, and all of this without sacrifying the style. A masterpiece ! Thanks to all the Freenote Cloth team for these incredible garments they make!
FYI: I’m 5.81 ft. / 172 pds and size Medium is perfect, allows a decent layering underneath.

Tank of a jacket

I've been eyeing this jacket for a year and finally made the purchase. The jacket is amazing in all regards. First, the shearling liner and collar are luxuriously soft. I couldn't stop touching it after the jacket arrived. Second, the shearling lining in the hand pockets is such a nice touch. It's soft on the hands and it traps heat quickly to keep my hands warm. Third, the lined sleeves make it easy to put on and take off plus provide an extra layer of warmth. Fourth, the gusseted back makes arm motion so much easier. I can't imagine the jacket without this. Finally, the jacket has an incredible weight to it.

I was able to take it for a "test drive" today when I had to walk to the grocery store. It was 29°F outside. By the time I got to the store--just a few blocks away--I was starting to sweat in it. I had to unzip it to cool off a bit. But, no complaints there: I want a jacket that can be a go-to for these cold days. My only critique is I wish there was a hidden knit storm cuff. A few times cold air was sneaking into the sleeves when I had my hands in the front pockets. But, that'll probably be resolved by wearing my gloves.

I normally wear a size medium in most of my clothes. I tried the denim version of the RJ-2 in medium and found that while it fit, it was just too tight on my chest and waist. I purchased a large for this jacket and I'm glad I did. My chest size is 39", waist is 34". The large comfortably zips up and leaves a bit of room and adds more flexibility in movement.

I'm looking forward to breaking it in all winter!

For reference I am 5'9" and athletic build and I ordered a Large. I was looking for a winter jacket that I could wear over a t shirt or flannel that fit without belling or being too loose. This fits the bill. It is built to be tough, the 20 oz canvas is nice and heavy, the shearling lining is superb, and the details on the rivets, buttons, and heavy duty zipper are all excellent. I spent the dough because I wanted a "buy it once and wear it forever" jacket. This is it. I can't wait for this winter to see how the canvas breaks in and relaxes, and of course that patina develops. I have never owned anything close to this quality and craftsmanship. Very impressed with Freenote Cloth!
UPDATE - I exchanged the large for an XL. I am a stocky build and the XL still looks fantastic , no belling out and looks great with a T-shirt while having slightly more room for layering. Again the quality here is incredible and Freenote's customer service is outstanding!
