About the Wells Golden Pheasant

This custom midweight plaid is warm enough for cool evenings but also light enough to work as a layering piece. The fabric has a subtle textured weave and has been rinsed to remove all shrinkage.

Taking cues from classic workwear garments, construction details include triple needle stitching at high stress points, 1/8” double needle stitching, acorn shaped pockets, throat latch collar closure, chain stitch runoff, and finished with custom corozo fisheye buttons. Our shirts are proudly cut and sewn in the USA. The Wells Ibis Red and Golden Pheasant are available now in sizes x-small through xxl!

Excellent Quality, Weird Double Button Flap

I returned the shirt, but I’m still giving it five stars. The fabric and quality are excellent. My only issue is the neck design—the double-button flap sticks out and looks awkward. In the photos, it’s styled to look hidden, and I didn’t notice it when I ordered. In person, it just doesn’t lie right. The design feels unnecessary. I can’t imagine anyone buttoning it all the way up or needing a double button like that. Without that odd flap, it would have been perfect. Great material, but the collar design is a bit strange for me.
